Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our team in the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and Integrated bio‑energy solutions. This individual must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail‑oriented, and have superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. As an Electrical Application Engineer, you will support the design, engineering, procurement, and product life cycle management of large‑scale custom manufactured industrial equipment.

The Electrical Application Engineer will focus on 3‑Phase Power Distribution.

• Experience using AutoCAD (Electrical AutoCAD preferred) to review and create:
  • Power one‑line diagrams
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Cable/conduit schedules
  • Panel schedules
  • Panel layouts
  • Creation of BOMs
• Understanding Conductor and raceway sizing
• Sizing and selection of power distribution equipment including:
  • Switchgear
  • Motor control centers
  • Panel boards
  • VFD panels
  • Transformers
  • Lighting panels
  • Other electrical equipment
• Working knowledge with 480 VAC to 4,160 VAC 3‑phase systems and equipment
• Experience with electrical equipment component vendors.
• Reviewing client specifications to ensure appropriate equipment is selected for the application
• Experience in laying out panel design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
• Develop applications to meet specific needs and business goals.
• Act as the bridge between engineering teams and end‑users.
• Provide pre‑sales and design support.
• Provide internal and external training sessions on Servtech UL solutions.
• Comfortable with Customer interaction and bridging gap between engineering and business development team
• Experience with utility, industrial or data center electrical systems
• Knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code for sizing and implementation of conductors, raceways, equipment clearances, and other code requirements.
• Support engineers and Business Development to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
• Knowledge of UL 508A, UL 891, NEC, and related standards.
• Must follow training and company procedures.
• Must be a leader who represents the organization with the ability to be a liaison to our customers, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Previous Consulting Engineer and/or post sales experience a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering, design engineering, or technical support in electrical distribution, controls, or automation.
