About the role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team and support the development of system architectures, concept of operations, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, and verification of antenna systems throughout the program lifecycle. You will help establish and reinforce Tendeg’s system engineering principles and processes while providing mentorship within the systems engineering team and across functions.

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer that will support the following programs:2-axis Gimbal Antennas:
Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.

Perimeter Truss Reflectors:
Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security.

What you'll do:

Provide systems engineering leadership and mentorship to other engineers

Provide systems engineering support to technical teams for the development, verification, delivery, and operations of Tendeg deployable antenna products and subsystems.

Utilize System Engineering principles for development of system architectures, concept of operations, and architecture-to-requirements traceability.

Support the proper allocation, traceability, and verification of requirements at all levels throughout the program’s lifecycle.

Coordinate with multiple subject matter experts to develop the required requirements allocation, analysis, and verification artifacts.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the design baseline within the system architecture model.

Lead teams in preparations and delivery for major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR).Prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers.

Engage directly in the design, build, inspection, and testing of deployable structures.

Translate engineering requirements into demonstrated hardware capabilities.

Design and perform tests to verify flight software meets program and internal requirements

Design and lead tests for deployable structures to verify as-built hardware meets program and internal requirements

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
