Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seeking medically trained candidates to join our Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant. This position is full‑time benefit eligible and works about 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift from 8 am to noon. The ideal candidate will be flexible controlarowdays of the week they will work. - Experience working in both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and verifying patient information, patient check‑in/out, and coordinating@pytest accurate patient appointments.
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
- Maintain accurate वर्षीय است confidential ité of patient information in electronic and manual systems in accordance with protocols, regulations and policies.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present and rooms are adequately stocked.
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system.
- Good history‑taking skills, strong computer skills, accurate and complete documentation skills, and excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and relationship‑building with patients, providers and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate self‑direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training or education that substitutes for Medical Assistant credentials (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation.
- College graduates with a completed four‑year bachelor’s degree that includes health‑science coursework. Unofficial transcripts are required at the time of application.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) nto clinic setting is preferred.
