Lab Assistant

The Lab Assistant supports day-to-day operations of Hyde’s Analytical Laboratory by maintaining lab readiness, supporting routine testing, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a site-based role, M-F, 40 hours/week, working in a collaborative team environment and for an employee-owned company.

• Perform weekly water system monitoring, including Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis
• Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking
• Clean, maintain, and organize laboratory glassware and equipment
• Support qualification and routine maintenance of common lab instruments
• Coordinate shipment of equipment to third-party vendors for calibration or repair
• Scan, organize, and file cGMP documentation in accordance with data integrity requirements
• Prepare analytical standards and reagents under supervision
• Properly dispose of laboratory waste, expired samples, and chemicals
• Adhere to all laboratory safety, quality, and GMP procedures
• Participate in weekly lab meetings and continuous improvement discussions
• Assist with internal studies or special projects as interest and workload allow

• Degree or coursework toward a degree in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or other relevant technological field
• Wet laboratory experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in both an individual and team setting
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of basic statistics

Compensation: $21.00/hour. This role is a full-time, hourly (W2), non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime.
