About the RoleAs the Sr Manager, Procurement, you will lead a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists and category lead to define, develop and improve the supply base and ensure its support to Sierra Space programs.
You will establish priorities to maintain production schedules to support program milestones and delivery requirements, coordinate with executive management, program management and other department managers to ensure the company’s material, planning and production objectives are supported.
You will prepare capital, contract equipment and facility requests based on program and company demands.
Additionally, you will lead supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Business Area by partnering with departments to support the company’s vision. You will drive innovation by maximizing capabilities of current procurement management systems and seek out new advancements in technology and process.
Responsibilities- Lead the procurement team to define, develop and improve the supply base.
- Maintain production schedules to support program milestones and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with executive management, program management, and other department managers to ensure material, planning and production objectives are supported.
- Prepare capital, contract equipment and facility requests based on program and company demands.
- Drive supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Business Area.
- Collaborate with Operations, planning, and logistics groups to serve as a supply chain liaison within the business.
- Implement and deploy complex projects and lead the supply chain discovery process.
- Set, measure and communicate meaningful supply chain KPIs across the organization.
- Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or related discipline and typically eight (8) years or more of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
- Experience leading, managing and growing teams.
- Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Current/Active DoD U.S. Security Clearance preferred.
- Experience with satellite product lines preferred.
- Experience with FAR/DFAR procurements preferred.
- Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
