We’re looking for a personable and detail-driven Project Accountant with strong Business Central experience who’s excited to support a company on the rise. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial activities for assigned projects within Business Central, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Manage project setup in BC, including work breakdown structures, cost categories, and billing parameters.
• Process and reconcile project expenses, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and timesheets.
• Prepare and validate project billing—time & materials, fixed-fee, progress billing—and ensure timely AR collections.
• Monitor project profitability and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Support month-end close by preparing project-related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Create project financial reports and dashboards using Business Central reporting tools/Power BI (if applicable).
• Collaborate with project managers to review performance, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices within Business Central.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5+ years of experience in project accounting, job costing, or similar finance role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Project Accounting/Jobs module).
• Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, and project lifecycle accounting.
• Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
