Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing and collaborative team in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities- Process daily customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
- Apply cash receipts accurately and timely to customer accounts
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with customers regarding account status, payment arrangements, and invoice inquiries
- Generate aging reports and assist with collections efforts
- Work closely with accounting, sales, and customer service teams to resolve account issues
- Assist with month-end close activities and reporting requirements
- Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or related accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AR processes and cash application
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Experience handling high-volume invoicing and payment processing
- Knowledge of reconciliations and month-end accounting procedures
- Experience working within a manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting environment
$24.00 to $28.00 per hour
