• Diagnose vehicle concerns with a strong focus on drivability and automotive diagnostics
• Perform testing to accurately identify mechanical and vehicle-performance issues
• Complete automotive repairs based on confirmed diagnostic findings
• Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to support accurate troubleshooting
• Perform and document digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric
• Work efficiently within a high-volume automotive repair environment
• Maintain accurate repair information and communicate findings through the shop's workflow

• 5+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
• Advanced automotive diagnostic and drivability skills
• Experience testing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle concerns
• Ability to work across a varied mix of domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles
• Comfortable using automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools
• Digital vehicle inspection experience is helpful but not required
• ASE certifications are not required

• Base pay: $50/hour
• Pay schedule: Weekly
• Production bonus: 35 billed hours — $200 bonus
• Production bonus: 40 billed hours — $300 bonus
• Production bonus: 45 billed hours — $400 bonus

Barnes Auto Service offers a Monday-Friday schedule and a heated and air-conditioned facility with 26 bays and 13 lifts. With 75+ vehicles moving through the shop each week and a service manager handling parts ordering, experienced technicians can stay focused on diagnostics, testing, and repairs.

The vehicle mix includes approximately 40% domestic, 30% Asian, 5% European, and 25% fleet work, giving an experienced technician variety without being limited to a single make.

Some positions may require a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle record review, background screening, drug or alcohol screening, or other job-related pre-employment requirements based on the duties of the position, the client’s lawful requirements, and applicable law. Any screening will be conducted at the legally permitted stage and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.
