Calhoun Construction is seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our Estimating team.

• Review, create, and submit quality estimates with detailed proposals.
• Prepare high‑level quantity and manpower take‑offs.
• Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid.
• Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects.
• Attend site visits, pre‑bid meetings, job‑site walk‑throughs, bids, and coordination meetings.
• Maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1–5 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
• Desire and determination to succeed.
• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and years of experience.
• Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting.
• Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; knowledge of On‑Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Excellent math skills.
• Organizational and time‑management skills and ability to manage multiple commercial construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills; both internal and external.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, teamwork environment.
