Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector
Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector to join Jacobs People & Places Solutions Line of Business in Louisville, KY. The role involves conducting field investigations, inspections, and on‑site representation for property service connections to existing sewer systems, documenting construction activities, facilitating stakeholder communication, and maintaining project documentation. The incumbent will collaborate with contractors, owners, and internal teams in a fast‑paced consulting environment, ensuring health & safety compliance and accurate daily reporting.
BasePay
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct field investigations, inspections, and on‑site representation for property service connections to existing sewer systems.
- Design, observe, and document field and construction activities, focusing on sewer pipeline infrastructure improvements.
- Facilitate communication among contractors, owners/clients, third‑party stakeholders, and internal team members.
- Review existing as‑built drawings and support the preparation of bid documents related to property service connections.
- Assist in managing the bidding process, including organizing and participating in bid walks.
- Maintain thorough and accurate daily reports and project documentation, including preparation of record drawings.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while excelling in a fast‑paced consulting environment with multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office, and personal environments.
- 3–5+ years of experience in field construction inspection or field construction.
- Experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- OSHA 10‑Hour certification (new‑hire training available).
- Engineering degree or 3+ years of field construction inspection experience.
- Direct experience with sewer installation / trenchless rehabilitation projects.
- Experience with GIS and/or CAD software (preferred, not required).
