Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions, and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment and petroleum‑related construction to pre‑engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.

Purpose:

Under the direction of a supervisory official, perform varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work and may drive a truck in connection with laboring work on occasion; perform other related duties as required.

General information:
This position involves, but is not limited to, the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 90 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend, stoop, work around moving machinery, work around wood dust and fumes; work in inclement weather conditions. May travel and be away from home for several days at a time.

• Load, lift, and move supplies, furniture, and equipment
• Dig trenches and do manual grading
• Collect rubbish and other refuse
• Load and unload trucks
• Shovel; mix cement and mortar
• Place and strip forms used in concrete work
• Perform cold patching
• Sweep, pry and hammer apart sections of wall and roof
• Load debris into truck for removal
• Sort, pile, and clean salvageable brick, stone, lumber, and metal work
• Occasionally drive trucks
• Any and all other related duties assigned from time to time by supervisor

• Ability to perform manual tasks either alone or as a member of a group
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to follow prescribed procedures
• Ensuring safety practices are followed on job sites
• Valid driver's license required
