Safety Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our client's team in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely implementation of safety training while adhering to all applicable safety protocols, including OSHA 1926 and MSHA 48B for all field employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or industrial safety leadership, with the ability to effectively train, audit, and maintain compliance across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute OSHA & MSHA training for new hires and existing employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide safety-related input during the job quoting process to ensure all necessary precautions are considered.
• Maintain compliance with third-party safety training platforms such as ISNet, Avetta, Gatefeed, and Tappi Safe.
• Conduct safety audits of district personnel to verify adherence to OSHA & MSHA regulations.
• Research, implement, and communicate the latest safety alerts and guidance from OSHA & MSHA.
• Travel as necessary to support job planning, employee training, and on-site audits.
• Serve as the resident expert on safety compliance at both company and customer sites.
• Manage and control safety program costs while ensuring effective implementation.
• Deliver First Aid and Introductory Rigging training to crew members.
• Identify, maintain, and update safety training materials as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in construction or industrial safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 and MSHA 48B regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred:

• OSHA 1926 and/or MSHA 48B Instructor Cards (or the ability to obtain them within 3-5 years).

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $80,000
-base, 2- 5 % bonus quarterly, and combat pay for travel - 100 - 200 per day on top of per diem and travel expenses
Term: Contract to Direct
