About the job Construction Project Manager
Job Description:
A Louisville/Metro certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection shop is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager/Estimator to work on projects involving structural steel, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous steel items. The ideal candidate should have experience in Division 5 commercial construction project management & estimating, be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure.
Consideration will be given to any candidate with some experience in a related steel manufacturing industry.
General Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other team members (estimators, detailers, fabrication, and erection personnel) to manage a projects demands
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project
- Evaluate and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
- Estimate/negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project
- Work with accounting personnel to manage job costs for individual projects
- Attending site meetings as the project demands and relate all information to team members
- Keep up to date with industry standards, codes, and regulations, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field. (Will consider experience over degree).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management/estimating.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
