Commercial Construction Foreman (GCCM) – Louisville, KY – $27.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Overview

Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed in many states. We offer technical expertise in restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions and general office renovation, as well as industrial construction such as liquid storage, containment, petroleum-related construction, pre‑engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.

Job Skills / Requirements

Recruiting for carpenters and other trades; the candidate will work with a team of carpenters and a superintendent.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for leading safety of employees at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, knowing and enforcing safety rules and ensuring proper equipment procedures while on the jobsite.
  • Ensures that all employees under his or her direction wear all required safety garments and gear such as hard hats, gloves, flame‑resistant clothing, air monitors and safety glasses at all times.
  • Acts as the assistant to the superintendent.
  • Leads and trains the crew and sets quality standards.
  • Identifies issues and problems, and executes a corrective path to bring resolution.
  • Ensures that projects are completed safely, to the highest quality, on time and within budget.
  • Serves as a backup to the superintendent(s).
  • Performs all other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Some trade training is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and work instructions.
  • Basic computer and analytical skills.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting, bending, squatting, filing, and other physical activities required for the position.
