Director of Worship Ministry Highland Park First Baptist Church | Louisville, Kentucky Highland Park First Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Director of Worship Ministry to lead our congregation in Christ-centered, biblically grounded worship.
We are a Southern Baptist church averaging approximately 150 in attendance. Our mission is to be a community FORMED by God’s Word, ENGAGING in worship, and PURSUING God’s mission through the gospel of Jesus Christ.We are seeking a man who loves the Lord, loves the local church, and senses God’s call to lead His people in worship.
The Position
The Director of Worship Ministry will:
- Plan and lead weekly worship services and special services.
- Lead a blended worship ministry incorporating hymns, gospel music, and contemporary worship
, with an emphasis on biblically sound music and congregational participation. - Lead and develop our choir, praise teams, instrumentalists, and media/tech ministry
. - Recruit, train, encourage, and equip volunteers, including opportunities for children and youth to grow as worship leaders
. - Oversee or assist with audio, video, livestream, and related technology.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 15 hours per week, with annual compensation of approximately $20,000–$25,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Demonstrates a genuine love for Christ and commitment to the local church.
- Agrees with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
. - Has appropriate education and/or experience in music and worship leadership.
- Possesses strong organizational and relational skills.
- Has experience with, or a willingness to learn, audio, video, and livestream technology.
- Is preferably proficient on an appropriate instrument for worship leadership.
- Works well with the Lead Pastor, church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.
