Assoc. Mgr., Architectural Designer

COMPENSATION: $102,000 to $120,000 annually + bonus eligibility (if applicable). This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Lead the design of non-traditional and urban RED design concepts; support the Design and Brand Experience team’s visual communication via creation of 3D renderings, playbooks and graphics, and presentations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the visual communication of the Brand Experience team by creating 3D concepts and renderings, playbooks/toolkits, custom graphics, presentations, and other tools needed to communicate design intent and scope.

Leads the creation and management of all non-traditional and urban RED design concepts, including producing renderings and managing the template drawing creation and change management.

Leads the development of the RED remodel strategy (collaborating with construction and design to determine final scope and then executing the scope into newly created drawing templates, renderings, playbooks, and toolkits)

Maintains and updates all tools, brand standards, and specifications for franchisee support.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Sr. Leadership, Development (A&D Concept Design / Architecture, Franchise Development, Construction/Program Management), Operations, Food Innovation, Franchisees, Sister-brand peers (Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Habit Burger), External Architectural Consultants and Vendors

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:

Education/Certifications – B.S. Architecture, Interior Design or related field. Related professional registrations/certifications are a plus.

Experience

Years of Experience – minimum 5-7 years of expanded responsibility

Multi-unit Restaurant design, Retail design, hospitality in a consultancy or a corporate organization including management of construction documents

CAD drafting using AutoCAD is a must or compatible software

Adobe Creative Suite is a must

Google Sketch Up or other 3D renderings program skills is preferred

Managing external architectural and/or design consultants

Current working knowledge of multidisciplinary business and health codes, ADA, and other compliance issues
