The Department of Classical and Modern Languages invites applications for part‑time lecturer teaching positions. Candidates will teach language courses in Arabic, Chinese, Classics, French, German, Japanese, or Spanish, or courses on world culture taught in English, based on qualifications.
Responsibilities- Teach and develop language courses in the specified languages.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, including advising and office hours.
- Develop and implement diverse instructional strategies, including the use of learning technologies.
- 18 hours of graduate coursework in the discipline or a related field.
- Near‑native proficiency in the language(s) to be taught.
- At least one semester of classroom teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide quality instruction to a diverse student body.
- Experience using learning technologies to enhance student learning.
