Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) Band Teacher to join the team at West Middle School from approximately January 29, 2026 through April 30, 2026.

Job Summary:
Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability and creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.

Qualifications:

• Valid MN teaching license in Music, Instrumental and Classroom Music or Band
• Experience with instrumental music
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff

Salary ranges from $51,000 to $120,813 depending upon education level and experience.
