School Year
Substitute Instructor IHourly Rate: $16.46 per hour (no benefits). The following position will require 48 college hours or a passing score on the Kentucky Para‑Educator Assessment.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the Kentucky Para‑Educator Assessment or 48 college hours
- Successful teaching experience
- Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
- Program‑specific certifications/training

Substitute Instructor IIHourly Rate: $17.16 per hour (no benefits).
Minimum Qualifications- Associate Degree or approved equivalent training (64 college semester hours) and experience
- One (1) year successful teaching experience
- Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
- Program‑specific certifications/training
Hourly Rate: $18.63 per hour (no benefits).
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3) years successful teaching experience
- Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
- Program‑specific certifications/training
- Criminal Records Check (instructions for CRC will be sent by JCPS Substitute Center)
- Child Abuse & Neglect Check (instructions for CAN will be sent by JCPS Substitute Center)
- TB Test Results (within 1 year)
- Physical (within 1 year)
- Official transcripts or High School Diploma
- Entry level
