We are currently seeking a Project Engineer III – Water/Wastewater to join our Louisville, KY office.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll lead design and management efforts on a wide range of water and wastewater projects for both private development clients and public municipalities. From water distribution and storage to booster pump stations, treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, and pump stations—you’ll play a key role in planning, design, and delivery of essential infrastructure.

This position is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater or site development projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare detailed design documents, perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, support proposal development, and oversee projects from design through construction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering activities related to site planning and development design.
  • Perform site & utility design using Civil 3D and / or Carlson Civil-Suite on an AutoCAD platform.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with the preparation of inventory assessments, analyses and reports.
  • Work with the design team in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans related to Site Development.
  • Assist with the development of professional services proposals.
  • Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.
  • Develop plans and contract documents.
  • Prepare reports, studies, estimates, and specifications as required by assignments.
  • Research local, state, and federal requirements.
What You’ll Bring :
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) in KY is required. Ability to be licensed in other states preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years working as a Project Engineer related to water/wastewater and/or Site Development, Municipal or Land Development Projects.
  • Experience working with federal projects, state projects, and local communities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD design (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
