Turner Construction Company invites an experienced traveling MEP Superintendent to lead the mechanical and electrical systems on an Advanced Technology project encompassing Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segments.

- Managing decision‑making related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels for assigned trades.
- Co‑ordinating work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation and resolving local area issues regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, labor, equipment, schedule, and other relevant matters.
- Managing the overall site safety program and ensuring subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Supervising and developing Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals.
- Ensuring strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements.
- Creating schedules, determining sequencing of work, and developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
- Communicating with owners, architects, and engineers about field issues, investigating and resolving such issues.
- Managing the billing process related to work in place; overseeing monthly estimates of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
- Ensuring that work is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
- Working with the Engineer on coordinating mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and piping layouts for all trades within a master coordination set of drawings and a 3‑D model, securing approval of architects and engineers.
- Leading project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, and training processes, and punch‑list activities required for acceptance and handover of all systems.
- Coordinating, directing, and monitoring subcontractor and supplier activities to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, local and national codes.
- Reviewing project changes in conjunction with the Project Engineer.
- Keeping detailed daily records of MEP trade contractors’ work progress.
- Participating in pre‑construction efforts (e.g., constructability, logistics).
Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling, cost control, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications. Specific knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and thorough knowledge of building information modeling for coordination of MEP systems.
Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Physical DemandsRequires climbing stairs (permanent and temporary), use of construction personnel hoists, ladders, and negotiating constructed areas. Requires close, peripheral, and depth vision, ability to adjust focus, use of hands and fingers for tools or controls, standing, kneeling, crouching, and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
Work EnvironmentWork on‑site at construction locations with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels typically moderate to very loud.
