Summer Software Engineering Co-op

This summer co-op opportunity offers hands-on experience working on challenging projects that directly contribute to GE Appliances’ growth. You’ll be immersed in a dynamic environment, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Work closely with your mentor: You’ll be paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide you through your rotation, setting specific goals, deliverables, and expectations.
• Complete innovative, technical assignments: You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to areas such as New Product Introduction, Product Improvement, Modeling and Simulation, Advanced Development, Sourced Products, Software Development, or even GEA’s own Micro-Factory, First Build!
• Enhance your skills: Attend development and training sessions to boost your technical knowledge and professional development.
• Network and connect: Participate in networking events and community volunteer projects.
• Enjoy optional events: From lunches and weekend activities to sports and cookouts, you’ll have ample opportunities to connect with fellow co-ops and build relationships outside of work.

Dates: May 19, 2025 – August 08, 2025

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Computer or Software Engineering)
• December 2025 or later graduation date
• Cumulative GPA >= 3.0 (out of 4.0)
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Desired:
• Ability to have two or more co-op rotations before graduation
• Related coursework
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid analytical skills
• Desire and ability to learn
• Passion for engineering
