Position OverviewCMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of consulting engineering experience. This candidate will lead design and oversee electrical systems for energy‑efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and guide internal and external design and construction projects.
- Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Professionally stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc.
- Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors; lead meetings.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Confer with other engineers and personnel to meet project deadlines.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research to design and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes.
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals.
- Research and analyze client design requirements, manuals, and data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance.
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
- 8+ years of experience with MEP design.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with internal and external project management.
- Experience in MEP design and specifications.
- Experience managing, maintaining, and creating owner and architect relationships.
- Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K‑12, and Commercial market sectors.
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
