Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers and designers in the design, analysis, and improvement of complex mechanical systems and service processes. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team development and operational oversight. You will manage engineering activities across two sites – Louisville headquarters and a remote location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of mechanical engineers and designers.
- Oversee engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive collaboration between engineering, field service, fabrication and sales teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Implement best practices in design, documentation and project management.
- Provide technical guidance on equipment performance, failure analysis and system improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations.
- Manage and coordinate activities at both sites, including regular travel to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Travel to client sites and field operations (estimated 20–30%) to support project execution and customer engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery design.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works/Inventor, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA or other analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
- Experience in heavy industrial or field services environments is a plus.
