About the Role
The Maintenance & Controls Technician (MICT) is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and modification of the plant's automated controls and power systems (up to 480
VAC) at the Louisville, KY vegetable oil processing/packaging facility. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment, collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting safety and environmental performance, including leading by example and supporting compliance with safety rules.
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting factory instruments, PLCs, VFDs, motors, and electrical systems.
- Analyzing equipment failures, performing root cause analysis, and implementing improvements.
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, documenting all work, and using CMMS systems.
- Collaborating across departments to meet operational goals and executing small capital projects.
- Maintaining facilities and supporting cost control initiatives.
Qualifications include:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical or electronics fields, or military electronics experience.
- 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Rockwell preferred), VFDs, motor control, instrumentation, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends.
