Job SummaryThe Louisville Palace and Mercury Ballroom are seeking seasonal part-time Ancillary crew members for the 2024 Concert Season. You will assist patrons with point‑of‑sale items such as seat upgrades, cash‑to‑card, and additional purchases. The Ancillary crew is expected to arrive before a show starts, stay late to aid with post‑show pick‑up of equipment and rentals.
What This Role Will Do- Solicit sales of new or additional services or products offered at the venue.
- Take transactions in customer‑facing areas such as cash‑to‑card.
- Monitor customer belongings and maintain coat check.
- Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue – including picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricades, bike racks, metal detectors, tables, and other duties as assigned.
- Show CARE by participating in venue sustainability efforts such as sorting waste into correct bins, educating our fans about our efforts, or collecting recyclables from the lawn before and after the show.
- Additional tasks as requested by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 1+ year in a guest‑service role preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment and diplomacy.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, and occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying 25 lbs.+.
