Assistant Controller, Accounting

Responsibilities

The Assistant Controller assists the Controller by leading the financial statement close and tax reporting/compliance functions. This role manages the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, provides oversight to the balance sheet reconciliation process, coordinates the annual independent financial statement audit, coordinates tax reporting and compliance filings, assists in researching and applying new accounting pronouncements, as well as researching and applying generally accepted accounting principles to new transactions and ongoing operations of the corporation, and provides direct oversight to centralized accountants who support hospital operations.

Required:

• Five years of experience in accounting or finance including experience in public accounting
• Bachelor in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Desired:

• Healthcare experience preferred
