Guardian Savings Bank is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager.

Purpose of the role

In this role, you will oversee branch sales, including deposit growth and retention, as well as the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to customers and staff. Your duties are contingent on the scope of the services that are offered at the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions
  • Balance teller station
  • Confirm accuracy of transactions
  • Prepare, verify and issue cashier checks, personal money orders, and facilitate wire transfers
  • Renegotiate certificates of deposit
  • Maintain audit and compliance standards and reports
  • Provide input for employee reviews
  • Assist with new hire training

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, required;
    Associate’s degree and equivalent industry experience in related field, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the branch, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, preferred
  • Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation, preferred
  • Organized and dependable
  • Analytical and attention to detail
  • Ability to problem‑solve and multi‑task
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Self‑motivated
  • Team player
