Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail? Then, this is your chance to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. We are seeking an Accountant with a strong background in accruals, accounts payable, purchase orders, financial audits, prepaid expenses, reconciliations, and trend analysis. Experience in the hospitality industry and real estate sector would be an added advantage.

Proficiency in Excel and handling entries and intercompany transactions is a must.

Responsibilities:

As a permanent accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Managing the process of accounts payable including invoices, purchase orders, and payment processing.
3. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Coordinating and executing annual financial audits.
5. Analyzing financial reports and conducting trend analysis to identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
6. Managing prepaid expenses and ensuring they are accounted for and reported correctly.
7. Handling intercompany transactions and entries.
8. Assisting with strategic planning and forecasting activities, including budget management and financial risk analysis.
9. Providing insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
4. Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
5. Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
6. Highly detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Experience in the hospitality industry and real estate sector is a plus.
