About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, internal controls, month‑end close, and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and proven leadership capabilities.
Note: This role does not include inventory or cost accounting responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage general ledger accounting
, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activitiesEnsure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Assist with year‑end audit preparation and serve as a key contact for external auditors
Support the Controller in financial reporting, analysis, and documentation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
Supervise and mentor accounting team members, promoting accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and internal reporting requirements
Support special projects and other finance initiatives as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CMA required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
Proven experience managing the month‑end close and general ledger process
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/general ledger systems

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
