About the role:As Senior Vice President, Capital Syndication, you will lead and execute syndication strategies for IIX's growing portfolio of innovative financial products, including the Women's Livelihood Bond (WLB) series, the Women's Catalyst Fund (WCF), and new instruments focused on gender equality, sustainable finance, and climate resilience. The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of experience in capital markets or impact investing, with strong fixed income knowledge, structured finance expertise, and advanced financial modelling skills.
This role will report to Senior Director of Innovative Finance, this position offers an opportunity to lead at the highest levels—working directly with institutional investors, placement agents, and other key transaction partners to drive capital toward high‑impact enterprises advancing climate action and gender equality.
Key Responsibilities:1. Capital Syndication & Investor Engagement
- Lead capital raising efforts for IIX's flagship blended finance products, including WLB, WCF, and new thematic vehicles aligned with SDG and ESG priorities.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with a global network of institutional investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), private banks, family offices, and ESG‑focused funds.
- Design and execute syndication strategies, organise investor roadshows, manage data rooms, and support due diligence processes.
- Build investor confidence through clear communication of financial structures, risk‑return profiles, and impact metrics.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams on product structuring and documentation, ensuring alignment with investor mandates and regulatory frameworks.
- Build and manage detailed financial models and scenario analyses in Excel to support pricing, credit analysis, and investor negotiations.
- Conduct credit assessments, financial due diligence, and term sheet reviews in coordination with legal and impact teams.
- Contribute to deal execution processes including closings and post‑issuance reporting.
- Monitor market trends across ESG, fixed income, and sustainable finance to inform product development and investor targeting.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for structuring new climate‑aligned or gender‑lens finance instruments based on investor appetite.
- Represent IIX at investor conferences, forums, and webinars as a thought leader in sustainable finance and capital markets innovation.
- Capital Raised:
Successfully syndicate a targeted minimum of USD 50‑100 million annually across IIX's financial products, including WLB, WCF, and new sustainable finance instruments. - Investor Network Growth:
Expand and actively engage IIX's network of investors, adding at least 3 new qualified institutional or DFI partners per year with an interest in ESG, gender‑lens, or climate‑aligned investments. - Deal Execution Efficiency:
Lead syndication and close transactions within agreed timelines and budgets, maintaining high‑quality investor experience and contributing to at least two successful issuances per year.
