The Chief Compliance Officer will serve as an agency risk assessment manager to identify systemic deficiencies and areas of non-compliance related to quality, medication administration, and compliance. This position requires stringent monitoring practices of resident medical information and auditing internal agency records and processes to ensure adherence to state and agency regulations and guidelines. The Chief Compliance Officer will effectively monitor all compliance-related processes and supervise members of the Compliance team in their various roles, delegating appropriately to remediate issues.
The Chief Compliance Officer supervises the Billing & Occupancy Manager, Medication Coordinator, Health Data Coordinator, and IR & Medical Records Coordinator. The Chief Compliance Officer collaborates with Program Team Members and person-centered team members. The Chief Compliance Officer is supervised by the Chief Executive Officer.
- At least 21 years of age
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field, medical compliance, quality or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and medication administration.
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience
- Extensive knowledge of the Medicaid SCL waiver program and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of medication administration
- Experience with internal auditing practices
- Comfortable with using computers including Microsoft Outlook, Sharepoint, Excel, and online electronic health record portals
- Proven ability and experience to supervise, train, and motivate staff.
- Must be able to work independently, take initiative and be self-motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience with persons who have intellectual disabilities and an interest in working with people in community-based setting
- Experience with using Oasis
- Experience with Tarrytown Expocare
- Valid driver's license required

- Provide oversight to the compliance team to ensure action items are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor all medication and compliance tracking documents to ensure compliance and accountability of team members.
- Provide consistent monitoring of Tarrytown portal and Oasis to ensure resident medications, protocols, and scripts are in compliance at all times with state regulations at all times.
- Ability to monitor expiration dates for doctor’s orders and other related medical protocols to ensure the continuity of residential care.
- Monitor the submission of all medical paperwork following all doctor’s appointments to identify needs related to medication changes and delegate next steps for implementing changes to compliance team members.
