The Laboratory of Dr. Zhao-Hui (Joe) Song – Zhao-hui Song, PhD – School of Medicine, University of Louisville has one full-time Research Assistant II position in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Medicine. The role assists in pharmacological experiments studying the mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids and other drugs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in ordering lab supplies and maintaining lab operations.
- Assist in experiments using cell culture and animal models, collect data, and perform routine data analysis under the supervision of the principal investigator.
- Assist in searching scientific literature, preparing proposals/protocols for experiments, and preparing manuscripts for publication.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or neuroscience.
- Six months of relevant laboratory experience.
- Work Ethic – motivated, diligent, industrious, and persistent in the workplace, stays on tasks to completion.
- Organized – manages time effectively, keeps tasks appropriately prioritized.
- Teamwork – ability to work with others.
Compensation will be commensurate with candidate experience.
