Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Counselor/Therapist to provide therapeutic support and case management services for youth and families in our Kulima Care program. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping clients grow emotionally, socially, and behaviorally while maintaining strong documentation, communication, and follow-through. This role blends both therapeutic intervention and case management, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients’ lives while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities Therapeutic Services- Conduct individual counseling sessions to support emotional and behavioral growth.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on topics such as self-esteem, coping skills, relationships, identity, and trauma-informed strategies.
- Use age-appropriate and culturally responsive interventions tailored to client needs.
- Develop treatment plans with measurable goals and update them according to policy.
- Complete clinical documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide ongoing support to help clients and families navigate resources and services.
- Communicate regularly with foster parents, biological families, school staff, and community partners as needed.
- Assist clients in crisis situations, ensuring safety and appropriate follow-through.
- Coordinate care with external providers (psychiatrists, teachers, social workers, medical staff, etc.).
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews to ensure continuity of care.
- Master’s degree or higher in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth, families, or individuals in behavioral or therapeutic settings preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain documentation in compliance with organizational standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with diverse populations.
- Must pass background checks and required screenings.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Understanding of trauma‑informed care.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure.
- Strong boundaries and ethical decision‑making.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team approach.
