Lab Technician (Louisville)

Join Plasmidsaurus as a Lab Technician in Louisville, KY. This role supports our sequencing services by preparing DNA libraries and operating sequencing equipment to deliver timely, high‑quality data to our clients.

Base pay range $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year.

Location & Hours In‑office, Louisville, KY. Tuesday – Saturday, 2:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. EST. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship provided.

Position Overview

Lab Technicians perform accurate, efficient DNA library preparation and sequencing operation. Responsibilities include sample preparation, instrument operation, results analysis, safety compliance, and collaboration with the logistics team.

Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare and troubleshoot DNA samples for sequencing.
  • Instrument Operation: Operate and maintain sequencing & liquid handling instruments; monitor performance and troubleshoot.
  • Results Analysis: Review output, perform QC, conduct basic data analysis; collaborate with bioinformaticians.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Follow safety protocols and maintain accurate records.

    Collaboration:

    Foster innovation, experiment with new technologies.
  • Logistics Coordination: Work with worldwide logistics partners to supply consumables and manage shipping.

  • Lab

    Experience:

    DNA extraction, purification, or sequencing preferred; general lab skills welcome.
  • Problem Solver: Creative, analytical thinker.
  • Continuous Learner: Curious, stays updated on scientific trends.
  • Detail‑Oriented & Organized: Handles multiple projects.
  • Proactive: Self‑starter, works independently.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication.
Physical Requirements

Must sit and stand for long periods, lift, carry, press, push, pull inventory; substantial wrist, hand movement; close visual acuity for pipetting, computer use, data analysis.
