CareATC is currently looking for a Medical Assistant to work collaboratively with the staff providers at LG&E KU Energy Occupational Health and Primary Care offices as well as onsite services at LG&E Plant Clinic Locations To provide exceptional patientclient satisfaction the medical assistant will assist in daily administrative activities perform occupational testing for medical surveillance exams hearing conservation exams and assist the provider with all patient visits This is a 40 hour work week opportunity with eligible benefits Hours Monday Friday 730 AM 400 PM Lunches from P The role of the Medical Assistant Clerical responsibilities appointment scheduling and office callfax handling Greet patients perform vitals Performs workup for all physical exams patient triage assistingfollow up with pulmonary function testing fit testing EKG and audiograms associated with the hearing conservation program Exhibit good clinical judgement within the scope of the role with or without the providers oversight Follow all clinical and clerical protocols per company policy Must be willing to travel to onsite clinic locations Monday through Friday no overnight stay required Our structure is a win for The Patient little or no cost for excellent medical care nor dispensed medication The Staff consistent schedule allowing for work life balance no on call schedule or holiday schedules Allows for consistent income with manageable productivity expectations The Employer an excellent benefit resulting in happier healthier employees and families which will reduce the costs of their medical plans
Minimum Qualifications Education High school diploma or general equivalency diploma GED plus one of the following Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited MA program Or 1 year relevant work experience or on the job training in lieu of certification or diploma Emergency Medical Technician Military trained medic Experience Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting with Occupational training is strongly preferred Must possess a current BLS CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the healthcare field hepatitis B and tuberculosis Perks Clinic and medication are provided free of charge or at a low cost to employees and dependents Competitive Salary Full benefit package for eligible roles including Medical Dental Vision 401K PTO Disability & Life Insurance Wellness Program and much more
