Training Nurse

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Training Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive training and support to patients who are transitioning to home hemodialysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to enhancing patient independence and quality of life.

Location: Louisville

• Conduct individualized training sessions with patients and their caregivers to teach safe and effective home hemodialysis techniques.
• Assess patient readiness for home hemodialysis and develop personalized training plans to address specific needs and learning styles.
• Monitor patient progress and provide ongoing support, education, and encouragement to ensure successful adaptation to home treatment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services for patients transitioning to home hemodialysis.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient training sessions, progress, and any changes in treatment protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance home hemodialysis program effectiveness and patient outcomes.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license to practice in Kentucky.
• PD Highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dialysis nursing, with prior experience in home dialysis training preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and technology relevant to home dialysis.
