Laundry Worker (Temporary) Position

Schedule/

Hours:

Monday - Wednesday, 8 am - 4:30 pm (21.75 hours weekly)

This position is responsible for:

Retrieves, sorts, inspects, washes, dries, folds, and stores laundry; maintains neatness and cleanliness of Laundry Room; maintains proper operation of washers and dryers; maintains laundry supplies; assists in performing janitorial work if laundry is completed before the end of the shift.

• Maintains the washer and dryer machines
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the Laundry Room
• Maintains and organizes inventory of laundry supplies

• Ability to meet attendance requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
• Work is performed in a laundry room environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.

• No education required
• 6 months of experience performing laundry work is preferred
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
