Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to partner with organizations in strengthening and modernizing their people operations. This role focuses on assessing current HR practices, identifying gaps, and implementing compliant, efficient, and scalable solutions that support business goals.

The ideal candidate is confident, discreet, and solutions-oriented—someone who can step into complex environments, bring structure and clarity, and leave organizations stronger than they found them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of HR policies, procedures, and systems to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities

  • Design and implement streamlined HR processes across areas such as compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management

  • Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices

  • Partner with leadership to resolve employee relations issues professionally and proactively

  • Develop and update employee handbooks, job descriptions, and internal documentation

  • Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, growth, or post-acquisition integration

  • Implement or optimize HRIS and payroll workflows in collaboration with internal teams and vendors

  • Train managers and leadership on HR best practices, compliance, and effective people management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, consulting preferred

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR operations

  • Experience entering organizations with limited or inconsistent HR infrastructure

  • Proven ability to influence leadership and drive change diplomatically

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred

What Success Looks Like
  • Clear, documented, and compliant HR processes

  • Reduced organizational risk and improved employee experience

  • Leadership teams confident in HR decision-making

  • Sustainable systems and practices that support long-term growth
