Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a high-volume or transitional period. This contract role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing using ADP, SAP, and SAP Success Factors for a multi-state employee population.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle, multi-state payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly basis using ADP
Maintain and update employee payroll data in SAP and SAP Success Factors
Audit payroll transactions for accuracy, including wages, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and taxes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to address payroll-related questions and issues
Support payroll-related reporting, audits, and year-end activities (W-2s, quarter-end filings)
Assist with system updates, integrations, testing, or process improvements as needed
Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
3+ years of hands‑on payroll experience in a corporate or shared services environment
Strong working knowledge of ADP payroll systems (Workforce Now, Vantage, or similar)
Experience using SAP and SAP Success Factors for HRIS and payroll data management
Multi‑state payroll experience required
Solid understanding of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting
Ability to quickly adapt in a fast‑paced, contract‑based environment
