Network Engineer

Overview

We are actively recruiting a Network Engineer for our client in Louisville, KY. This is a direct placement opportunity that requires working onsite in Louisville. Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Design and optimize LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions using current and emerging technologies.
• Assess network infrastructure readiness and translate business needs into technical designs.
• Develop and implement plans for network connections and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and assets.
• Troubleshoot complex network and hardware issues, including VoIP and unified communications.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and participate in incident, problem, and change control processes.
• Collaborate with vendors, users, and service partners to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage asset inventories and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years with Aruba networking (switches, routers, wireless); 2+ years with Aruba Clearpass NAC.
• Cisco experience in network design, VoIP, and enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
• Certifications:
  
  CCNA and CCNP (preferred); CCNP Wireless a plus.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall (2 years), BGP, HSRP, VSS, Radius, captive portal, Nomdaix.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting VoIP, Microsoft 365, VMware/V-sphere (3 years), and server/workstation hardware.
• Familiarity with firewalls, network security, packet capture, and structured cabling.
• Additional skills:
  Meraki, Linux, Datto/Remote Management, Powershell, AWS/Azure, hospitality tech.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and learning agility.
