Position: Senior QA Automation Engineer I

Our In-Restaurant Technology Team (BOH Team) is rapidly growing with an aim to digitalize all our solutions to ensure efficiency of the In-Restaurant crew. KFC is seeking a passionate Software QA Automation Engineer (SDET) responsible for defining, maintaining, and executing the QA Automation suite. In this role, you will work as part of a scrum delivery team to ensure that automated tests are in place to verify functionality from the moment it is released.

COMPENSATION:

$100,900 to $130,570 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

You Will

Start with:

Understanding, implementing, and improving current processes for automating manual QA actions.

Reporting to a QA Manager but working daily within a scrum team.

Having experience with Smart Bear Tools like Test Complete for functional testing and Ready API for API and load testing is a significant plus.

Expand to:

Adopting current automation tools and evaluating new tools in collaboration with the QA Manager to automate test plans and scripts for future initiatives.

Representing QA Automation in all Agile ceremonies such as grooming, planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.

Participating in project meetings, providing updates, guiding software release schedules, and representing QA Automation.

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for automation initiatives and serving as a point of contact for third-party vendors. Making recommendations for technological improvements based on market developments.

KFC Cloud & Infrastructure, POS & Digital Development, Network, QA, Help Desk, Data Management, Security, Hardware Programs, Franchise Services, and Cloud Architecture teams.
KFC Operations, Franchise, HR, and Finance teams.
Cross-functional YUM Teams.
Software and hardware vendors.

KNOWLEDGE AND

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education/Certifications
:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science preferred.

6+ years of QA/SDET experience.
4+ years of scripting automation experience.

Experience
:

At least 4 years of experience in iOS native app automation.
Experience with data-driven automation frameworks using POM, BDD (Cucumber), or similar.
Experience with configuration management of automation artifacts and creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
Exposure to performance testing.
Experience with test automation tools such as Smart Bear Tools, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
Extensive testing experience with microservices-based multi-tier web applications and complex data-driven applications.
Strong experience with Azure cloud technologies is a plus.
