Join EY as a Senior Operations Solution Engineer focused on Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions. The role involves implementing, managing, and optimizing WAF to protect client applications from cyber threats.

As a WAF Operations Solution Engineer, you will implement and manage WAF solutions to safeguard client web applications and data. You will work within a team of cybersecurity professionals to establish effective security controls.

Configure and provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls, maintain optimal performance, support change requests, and resolve problems. Monitor application traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents to mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance overall security posture.

• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• Utilize Cloudflare and Imperva for implementation and management.
• Leverage Terraform for infrastructure as code to automate deployment and management.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide on WAF management and incident response.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva WAF solutions.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of web application protocols and security principles.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
