Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We offer both remote and on‑site services in more than 350 languages to over 6,000 clients with a highly experienced staff and 8,000 contract interpreters.

Quality interpretation is critical to our success and it is only possible by bringing in the best interpreters in the industry. We currently need Onsite Interpreters in the Louisville, Kentucky area who have a sincere desire to use their language skills to help people and are passionate about what they do.

• Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual interpretation by phone and video remote first‑person interpretation.
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follow all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge, as required for various clients such as medical, legal, and social services.

• Submission of an updated resume in English at time of application.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including but not limited to TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP, seasonal influenza (Flu), and Covid.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

• 1+ years of interpreting experience.

• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
