Hourly rate: $41.50/hourly
In addition to base pay hourly rate, position is eligible for 6% shift premium and $1.00 license premium for Class IV-A Certification.

Responsible for the direct charge of Treatment Plants utilizing approved practices necessary to ensure that the drinking water treatment system is operated as required by State Regulations and policy/procedure guidelines.
This includes but not limited to being responsible for water quality monitoring and control, chemical dosages and inventories, hydraulic planning, and execution, and directing operations (in case of emergency notifying supervision).
Demonstrate ability to handle system alarms and take corrective action.
Must perform Chemical Attendant duties and/or Apprentice duties as required.
Must demonstrate the ability to utilize plant control systems.
May be assigned to any production facility.
Responsible for distribution system hydraulics.
Responds to overtime needs, including emergency callouts, when overtime is needed for this classification.
All other duties as assigned.
Non-traditional work schedule with fixed shift, to include weekends and Holidays. Position is eligible for 8% shift premium.
Physical Requirements:
Must comply with all physical requirements and physical exams. Must pass SCBA respirator exam and be capable of wearing safety PPE up to and including a Level A chemical suit. Must have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs., lift up to 75 lbs., walk on rough, uneven surfaces, work in cramped/confined work areas, climb ladders and steps, and operate required mechanical equipment (e.g., overhead valves, chemical transfer pump
High school diploma or GED; and
One (1) year of operational experience in a surface water treatment plant using conventional filtration; and
A Class IV-A Water Treatment Plant Operator's License for the state of Kentucky; and
Valid Driver's license.
