Responsibilities- Lead hourly team members to attain plant production and quality goals while ensuring a safe working environment.
- Manage and own various functions of the business and create an engaged, team-oriented workforce to improve results.
- Coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance and discipline as needed.
- Allocate labor and resources to meet operational needs, including reviewing staffing levels and communicating shift transitions.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, materials usage, and output requirements, including line speeds and set‑ups.
- Support and improve quality initiatives and serve as liaison between production and quality.
- Implement safety programs and revise them as necessary.
- Comply with SQF and GMP practices and report food safety issues.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of related, progressive manufacturing experience.
- Prior team management experience with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑directed and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Team‑oriented with a focus on collaboration and performance.
