Freight Material Handler
Bring your unique skillsets in warehousing, customer service and people skills to help drive company productivity. As a Freight Material Handler, you will work with a team to pick, pack, and load orders to send overseas and on freight. In this role you’ll need to pay attention to detail, to ensure the correct part and number is picked, packed, and delivered to our customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate powered forklift truck, Reach truck, and other material handling equipment.
• Use production paperwork to locate, pick, and pack materials in a warehouse environment.
• Maintain equipment in good operating order, following power industrial equipment guidelines and completing start-of-shift inspection checklist.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized.
• Identify problems or potential safety hazards and recommends resolutions.
• Perform warehouse transactions.
• Focus on continuous improvements of material handling processes.
• You need to be available to work 10 hour shifts and overtime on Weekends.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience as a Material Handler, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, or Shipping Clerk.
• Demonstrated skills necessary to perform the duties of the position.
• Possessa valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in SAP, RF Device, and Warehouse Management preferred.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Routinely bends and lifts up to 40 pounds individually
• Works in multiple positions during a shift
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift

ENVRINOMENTAL EXPOSURES:

• Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to hot conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes.
• Moderate noise level.
• Occasionally exposed to oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles and sharp-edged materials.

SAFETY REQUIRMENTS:

• Must be able to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and cut resistant gloves.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $29,100 - 45,760 Annualized
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
