About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Press Operator for our Louisville manufacturing facility. A Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining narrow web flexographic printing presses.

Responsibilities

• A Flexographic Press Operator will set up and operate a narrow web flexographic printing press to print designs or lettering on rolls of paper stock.
• The Flexographic Printing Press Operator will check viscosity and P.H.
• This position will read job orders and prepares and mount ink cylinders and secures the cylinders inside the press.
• The Flexographic Printing Press Operator will operate the press through computer technology and adjust speed, tension and alignment as needed.
• The Flexographic Press Operator will inspect for imperfections or off-center impressions.
• May mix inks or dyes to produce desired colors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
• Experience in narrow web flexographic printing.
• Will have a strong understanding of web and splicing.
• Experience using solvent inks is a plus.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• An FTA (Flexographic Technical Association) certification at any level is preferred.
• Basic computer skills
• Must understand and possess a high level of knowledge of the flexo system from pre-press to finished product.
• Must understand plate mounting and have the ability use a spectrophotometer.
