We are currently searching for a Shipper to be based out of Louisville, KY, reporting to the Shipping Manager. The shipper will be responsible for pulling orders, stock fitting shelves, loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse, and ensuring the product is secure and safe.

• Unload material trucks and organize storage areas
• Safely operate forklifts to move material to and from the warehouse
• Inform management of inventory levels or space issues
• Organize material scrap for grinders
• Assist in grinding operations, material transfer amongst bins or boxes
• Assist in putting production away in storage area
• Assist in pulling loose pipe orders
• Assist in Production Department when needed
• Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves)
• Know and follow yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures
• Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
• Inspect products and packaging for damage
• Package, palletize, and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
• Proficient with material handling and packaging devices
• Cycle count product
• Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
• Correctly identify and put away purchased/manufactured fittings
• Aware of overstock areas
• Load out customer calls and other docked van freight
• Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
• Able to correctly tie down loaded flat racks
• Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
• Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup
• All other assigned duties

• Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent
• Warehouse experience or the ability to quickly learn warehouse operations
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
• Mechanical aptitude is necessary for maintenance and troubleshooting in mechanical, control and conveyance systems
• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Must be able to work independently, safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $20.25 hourly. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
