Position Summary

The Brand Manager, Media & Local Store Marketing is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of Long John Silver’s national and local media investments. This role serves as the primary liaison between the brand, media agency, and franchise partners to ensure media dollars are deployed effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with brand strategy and business objectives. This position combines strategic media planning, financial stewardship, and franchise partnership to help drive traffic, support restaurant performance, and strengthen brand presence across markets.

Essential

Functions Media Strategy & Agency Management
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for the media agency relationship, ensuring strong partnership, accountability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with the media agency to develop and execute best-in-class national and local media plans across channels including linear TV, CTV, radio, out-of-home, digital, paid social, print, and emerging platforms.
  • Support annual media planning, investment strategy development, and in-flight optimization discussions.
  • Ensure media plans align with brand priorities, promotional calendars, and key business initiatives.
Budget Management & Financial Oversight
  • Manage national and local media budgets, including forecasting, pacing, and reconciliation.
  • Track store openings and closings and adjust media budgets and market allocations accordingly.
  • Track, review, and process media invoices in partnership with finance to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Maintain visibility into planned versus actual spend and support end-of-period budget reporting.
Local Store Marketing & Franchise Support
  • Serve as a consultative partner to franchisees, providing guidance on local marketing plans, media execution, and best practices.
  • Support franchise participation in national and regional media programs.
  • Develop and maintain local store marketing calendars, tools, and resources.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate print coupon drops, including targeting, timing, and coordination with promotional strategies.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
  • Monitor and analyze media performance metrics, including reach, frequency, CPMs, and available ROI indicators.
  • Partner with the media agency and internal teams to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations to improve media effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with brand marketing, digital, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Coordinate media timing and support for new product launches, limited time offers, and seasonal promotions.
  • Support internal communication and alignment related to media plans and calendars.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in media planning, brand management, or local store marketing; QSR, franchised, or multi-unit retail experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing media agencies and multi-channel media budgets.
  • Strong financial acumen with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with franchisees or field teams strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
